Tanager

Meet Meghan

Meghan earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Antioch New England. She signed on with Tanager Place because of the organization’s strong focus on prevention, trauma-informed care, and advocacy for children and youth. As a therapist, she strives to create a warm, nurturing, inclusive environment for each child to feel safe and be their most authentic self. Through a non-judgmental and empathetic approach, she hopes to create a therapeutic relationship rooted in mutual trust while also empowering children to recognize their own strengths, to overcome challenges, and to better their lives.

In an effort to continue to provide students and their families with the care they need to support mental, emotional, social, and behavioral wellness, your district continues its partnership with Tanager Place to provide comprehensive, holistic care to students.  We understand the need for support like this to help kids learn, grow, and succeed in their school environments.  We also recognize the challenges families experience in attempting to seek out these services for their children, while balancing work responsibilities, transportation issues, and time commitments.  We hope that by providing services in the school environment, some of these barriers are eased for families and kids are able to be more successful learners.  See below for information regarding our services.

School based services can offer you and your child the following:
